In the early 1960s, a small group of cine enthusiasts got together and formed the "Norwich cine club". Producing movies on standard 8 film, they quickly expanded and received an award in the national "Top 8" competition.

The rest, as they say, is history!

With the advent of video technology, the club name was changed the the "Norwich movie makers" Nowadays, most of the members are working with video, although we also have a number of dedicated film enthusiasts, who continue to shoot on Super8 and 16mm.

Our programme covers all aspects of movie making and welcomes beginners and experts alike. As a newcomer, you will be made very welcome at our meetings and the first two nights are free to attend, with no obligation to join.
